About Computer Science Department
History
Department of Computer Science started in the year 2007 with 33 students and one staff member. We started PG course in the year 2016 with 11 students. Now the department flourishes with 130 students in UG course, nearly 23 students in PG and 10 staff members.
Many students passed out from this department pursued higher education and are holding various positions in private sectors. This department is equipped with very good library and Hi-Tech Laboratory. Our department has produced more than 100 science graduates. Now we are running our Department with 6 faculty members.

Department Activities
- Seminar on "ROLE OF EDUCATION IN SOCIAL NETWORKS" – Jan 6, 2017 by Prof. M. Paul Arokiadoss Jerald, Asst. Prof., Periyar Govt. Arts College, Cuddalore. 200+ students participated.
- "SAPHALATA 2018 – INTER COLLEGIATE MEET" with COMTECH ASSOCIATION – Jan 25, 2018. More than 120 students participated from 10 colleges.
- ICAIET-2025 – International Conference on Advanced Intelligence and Emerging Technology (Oct 8–10, 2025). 300+ participants from across India.
